Gov. Bob McDonnell welcomed the first landing of Atlantic deep sea red crab to Virginia via a joint venture between Massachusetts-based Atlantic Red Crab Company and Virginia-based L.D. Armory Co., Inc., and Graham & Rollins, Inc.
As Virginia Sea Grant’s summer marine policy intern, Blina Kruja will investigate the relationships between different groups involved in ecosystem management in the Chesapeake Bay.
With its proximity of the Chesapeake Bay, Williamsburg is an obvious location for a community supported fishery to thrive. To further investigate the potential for a CSF in Williamsburg, an interdisciplinary student and faculty team conducted a feasibility study. This study can be separated into three major sections: market research, organizational design, and supplier research.
