Announcing RFPs for 2011 and 2012 Funding

Researchers at Virginia’s institutions of higher education are invited to submit proposals for these funding opportunities, and be sure to check back soon! We’ll be releasing two more funding opportunities soon.

  • NEW! Mid Atlantic Sea Level Rise and Inundation RFP: Funding is available for projects that address the socioeconomic impacts of sea level rise and inundation or that investigate ways to encourage behavioral changes that will help coastal communities adapt to sea-level rise.
  • Coastal and Marine Science RFP: Funding is available to faculty and staff of all higher education institutions within Virginia.
  • Coastal Community Adaptation RFP: Funding is available to graduate student-faculty team(s) to work with Virginia coastal community client(s) on climate adaptation design and planning projects.
  • Mid Atlantic Sea Grant Invasive Species RFP: The Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia Sea Grant Programs are interested in funding regional projects that include investigators from all three states and address issues of regional scale especially offshore energy development, land use decisions and water quality impacts, or socioeconomic processes and impacts.
