“I feel like I am breaking ground on a project that will help communities on the Middle Peninsula preserve their unique character while bolstering the industries that are already there,” Jennifer said.

One day Jennifer hopes to become a policy analyst for local or state governments. Her fellowship’s focus on coastal resources allows for an even greater taste of what she wants to do.

“I also hope to use my passion for the environment to find sustainable solutions for policy problems,” Jennifer said. “This fellowship will give me the opportunity to explore a possible career path in sustainable economic development.”

Jennifer graduated from The College of William and Mary this past May with a master’s in public policy. Originally from O’Fallon, IL, Jennifer currently lives with her husband in Williamsburg, VA.
