Symposium Description
Our 4th Annual Project Participants’ Symposium will take place on January 24, 2013.

We’re looking forward to a great event that gives you the opportunity to network with us and each other.

As with previous years, the Symposium will be held in Richmond and bring together individuals whose work affects coastal Virginia and who have worked directly with Virginia Sea Grant through our research, extension, education, or communication activities or other partnering.

However, those fo you who have attended our previous Symposia will notice that this year’s Symposium is on a different day and at a different location than in previous years. Here are some other changes to note:

  • Reception: We will not be sponsoring the Seafood and Wine reception following the Symposium as we had in previous years. However we will offer refreshments at the end of the Symposium when we open the poster session.
  • Poster session: To meet the requests at previous Symposia, we will be offering table space for exhibits in addition to easels for posters. Please choose which you prefer when you register for the event. Space is limited.
  • Accommodations: The Hilton Garden Inn, Richmond Downtown (501 E. Broad St) will offer rooms at the government rate to those who reserve no later than January 4th. Call 804-344-4300
  • Networking: Because so many of you requested it in previous years, we’re including more networking time on this year’s agenda.
The Symposium is open to invitees only and will be attended by researchers, industry members, state and federal agencies, government officials, and NGOs. Contact vsgpubs@vims.edu for more information.
We look forward to seeing you in 2013!
