ODU Engineering Student Discusses His Experience Designing a Resilient Neighborhood (VIDEO)

In a project funded by Virginia Sea Grant and coordinated by Wetlands Watch, Old Dominion University (ODU) Engineering Graduate Alex Carlson and other students worked to adapt a historic, waterfront neighborhood in Norfolk, VA to sea level rise. The students gained real world work experience developing models, designing adaptations to frequent flooding, and talking with local community members.
