The Virginia Sea Grant Communication Center was lucky to have a full house for the summer of 2012. We had three great interns helping us with everything from photography and design to communications research. Brandon Durant joined us from the George Mason University Communications Department to conduct focus groups and interviews to help us understand the information needs of coastal residents and stakeholders. Keya Jackson, a recent graduate of Hampton University, designed factsheets, assisted with Brandon’s research, and tackled the challenging task of analyzing the results of our Virginia Marine Resource Bulletin reader survey. Kathryn Greves, a photography student at Thomas Nelson Community College, captured some great images of VASG work and that of our partners, braving a variety of field assignments and locations.

Thank you Communication Interns! We had a great time working with you and hope you learned as much as we did.
